PCB decontamination and disposal
American Technologies, Inc. provides complete polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) decontamination and disposal services for waste products including ballasts, transformers, capacitors and assorted liquids and solids. We follow specific protocols for disposal of these materials including incineration, recycling, special treatments or transportation to landfills. When it comes to PCB decontamination and disposal, experience is critical. With twenty years of experience, we offer a depth of knowledge in all aspects of PCB jobs including tracking requirements, out of service dates and allowable management options.
Crime/death/suicide scene decontamination
We are keenly aware of the difficult nature of the work required to decontaminate areas following a crime, death or suicide. These events understandably cause severe anxiety and pain for all parties involved. Our job is to handle the clean-up as quickly, effectively and sensitively as possible. Given the nature of these events, response time is critical. In most cases, we begin our services immediately after receiving the initial call and typically work around the clock until the job is complete. Often times, these scenes are contaminated with microorganisms, viruses and toxins. Because they can pose a significant threat to human health, we use approved industry protocols to safely and completely remove these organisms.
Drug/meth lab clean-up
We offer comprehensive clean-up services for facilities that have been exposed to methamphetamines (meth) or used as drug labs. Our services include:
• Inspect the property to determine if it was used for meth production.
• Equip all crew members with personal protection before clean-up begins.
• Air out the property before and during clean-up.
• Remove all unnecessary items and discard.
• Remove visibly contaminated items and discard.
• Remove all building materials located in close proximity to the area used for cooking drugs. Typical materials that are removed include carpeting, padding, trim work and drywall.
• Clean all surfaces and the ventilation system using standard industry protocols.
• Continue to air out the property for three to five days following decontamination.
• Conduct a post-decontamination test to ensure that all traces of chemical residues are gone.
