Burning uncontrollably in the early morning hours, a structure fire in the College Plaza shopping center located across from Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA destroyed three local businesses.

American Technologies, Inc. was contacted by the property manager and immediately dispatched trucks to provide on-site emergency services. Working alongside the Chula Vista fire department, city officials and insurance representatives, ATI crews assisted in securing a perimeter fence around the area and helped with crowd control while firefighters put out the burning structure.

Once Chula Vista City officials deemed the building safe, American Technologies, Inc. crews began work immediately. Evidence collected by fire investigators was packed and stored at a nearby American Technologies, Inc. warehouse. After evidence was removed and the fire site released to the owner, ATI crews demolished the entire building, removed large debris, as well as hazardous waste. Dump trucks were used around the clock to transport the debris off-site.

Five days after the fire began the building was ready for reconstruction. The College Plaza owners were pleased with the rapid response time and minimal business hours lost.
